We need to embed the Windows Media Player control in a Compact Framework application (2.0 and higher versions).
The solution should work on different Windows Mobile Versions (CE, Pocket PC, WM 2003, WM 5, WM 6)
Alex Feinman's article includes a code sample, but it is for Windows CE.

We tested it on a real handset (HTC Touch) with Windows Mobile 5 and after downloading the CAB, installation was unsuccessful.
We require as much programmatic control over the embedded component as possible (size, skinning, programmatic interaction with transport controls to allow for custom graphic transport which interacts with embedded video/audio control), so these public methods should be exposed and versatile. Source code and example implementations must be provided.
This project requires a medium to high level of knowledge if interoperability with COM, Win32, ATL. The solution also requires a medium to high level of knowledge of Managed and Unmanaged code using C# and C++ given the component will be used from applications written in C# using the Compact Framwork 2.0 and higher. |
