Project: flash based textile designer (a sort-of clone of spreadshirt.com)
Server setup environment: linux, apache2, php5, mysql5
Our Target: easy to use selection of products + easy customization of the product (like adding text and pictures) including realtime preview of the customized product
Some Variables need to be imported from the MySQL Database on startup :
- available products with sizes (M,L, XL, etc) and URLs to thumbnails
- definition of the printing area on each product
- product prices, which are defined per product (no additional customization fee for images or texts applies) - so no calculation needed.
The tool itself should be able to manage Text in size, rotation, position and colour. Images should be placed on the textile with drag'n'drop with the ability to change imagesize, rotation and position.
Like on Spreadshirt you should be able to print on all four sides (front,back, left arm, right arm).
As soon as the user finishes its customization and clicks on "Put in Cart" the data is transmitted to a php script or directly into the database in the background. Transmitted data includes the product id, all applied customization (text, fontsize, fonttype, text-position-x, text-position-y) and for images (like URI or the image, position of the image, size of the image if it was resized).
Afterwards the user is asked if he wants to add another product or he wants to submit his order.
The few text-strings which are displayed in the image tool need to be pulled from a mysql table for localization.
The deadline for this Tool is the End of April.
