| Description |
We are looking for a developer to write a very simple application for Symbian 3rd mobile phones. The application is easy and most of the code is published on the Nokia forum site. In the following lines we will give specific links to the codes we refer to.
The application can be described in few steps:
- The application starts and reads some variables stored in the phone.
- The application reads the internal gps data if the relative variable stored is set to true (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/GPS_API_in_S60_3rd_Edition)
- The application reads the cellID if the relative variable stored is set to true (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Find_Out_Cell_ID_in_3rd_Edition,http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/How_to_get_info_on_cell_location)
- The application reads the Bluetooth GPS data if the relative variable stored is set to true (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/How_to_read_Location_from_Bluetooth_GPS)
- If any of the variable is collected without any error the application shows a button that launch the internal web browser with and address composed by a fixed part and the variables collected during the run (something like http://foo.com/index.php?var1=gps&var2=cellID&var3=btgps)
- The application hangs and shows a button to restart the collection of the data and a little menu to change the stored boolean variables (three variables true/false to enable/disable any of the data collection for the next runs)
Most of the code is present in the nokia site (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Category:Location_Based_Services ) and all the digital images needed are going to be provided by us.
We look for an easy and user-friendly application, it must be simple and fast.
We are going to make the testing in our offices and report directly to the developers. The phones we want the application to run on are the Symbian S60 3rd series. (http://www.s60.com/life/s60phones/browseDevices.do?edition=THIRD_EDITION®ion=&manufacturer=&sortBy=MANUFACTURER_AND_DATE) All the test are going to be on
- Nokia N95
- Nokia E90
- Nokia E65
The detailed procedure is written in the attached PDF document "detalils.pdf" |
