I have a website that does NOT have a well known name etc. It's a forum designed for the area I live in (around 300,000) people and I'm trying to get people to stop by and check it out. I think once they check it out and a few people start posting on it, it should take off by word of mouth. The problem is getting people to come to it to begin with.
I don't think SEO with have any impact on it?? Especially since its designed for a community and the name is not a common name.
I'm thinking perhaps some type of legal massive emails targeted to ONLY people in my geographical location. I have seen/heard of "CAN SPAM". Perhaps something like this?? I basically need the word spread IN MY COMMUNITY about the site and to draw visitors in.
