| Description |
cPanel is a software solution for web hosting servers. The program allows an easy interface for simple web hosting tasks, such as creating web hosting accounts, email accounts, etc.
cPanel also provides an API if you want to create these via your own software, but still using their software as a backend.
The aim of this project is to find out how the cPanel API works and then to implement a small PHP program that illustrate the working there of.
The following jobs must be performed by the PHP script:
- Create a web hosting account (adding a domain)
- Delete a web hosting account
- Change password of web hosting account
- Create an email account
- Delete an email account
- Change password of email account
Notes:
- Exact input variables will be given, for example:
- For creating a hosting account the following will be given
- Domain name
- Username
- Password
- For creating ae email account the following will be given
- Email prefix ()the part before the @)
- Domain name
- Password
- Etc
- Each jobs must report the result that is returned by the cPanel API, for example
- Incorrect domain name supplied
- Password supplied not acceptable
