We have an existing travel community website. Every year we invest some money to develop the website and add new features.
We are looking for a skilled PHP developer for a long term relationship. Our current developer is involved in big projects and won't be able to work with us any more, that's why we are looking for a new developer. A partnership in future is not excluded.
Our website is since 2004 a non profit website, since it is a community. But we are looking forward to add new features in future which could bring us some money like the selling of holiday-related objects, intermediation for house exchange, organization of a meeting of our members in a holiday destination, etc. But at the moment we want to focus on the quality of our website.
The new developer has to have experience with PHP and with webcommunities and must be able to show past projects. He must develop the new feature in a test environment and must do the testing of the new developed features.
The new project includes following features:
- replace all existing static maps with the new active "google-map"
- replace the video feature with a youtube-like version (our actual video feature takes too long to play uploaded videos and they are very small sized)
- replace existing foto upload system with a new feature which can upload up to 30 pictures at the time
- change from max. 8 pictures per holiday report to unlimited pictures
- develop a new "my site" with news feeders of friends and some additional features
- develop a new "insider tips" database with google-map
- add to the frontsite following new features: Insider tip of the week, Holiday report of the week, etc...
Please note that everything must be programmed in a way that there is no administration needed. At the moment we have weekly photo of the week, member of the week and that needs very few administration which we the owners take care of.
