I have roughly 15 to 20 websites defaced on a daily basis. I've done all of the basic security precautions - set permissions, changing passwords, but nothing works. The hackers/crackers are using scripts to gain entrance to my websites and then uploading Trojans to crack passwords. After that they are free to add and delete whatever they wish.
Obviously, I need this issue fixed once and for all - no matter what it takes. If you can figure out how they gain access to one site, you will have figured out how they gain access to all of the other sites, also, because they are using the same techniques.
What I'm looking for are coders who have documented experience in locking down websites so can not be compromised by hackers/crackers.
If you have no experience in this, don't reply, please.
All sites reside on a Unix server, which I do not have root access to. I have a reseller account that I use to host my sites. |
